In a patriarchal society, women have been occupying a marginalized position in relation to men which leads to their oppression, suppression and an innate sense of fear within themselves; against the dominant group. In this context, we would like to analyse the protest as well as fear of three young girls in the short story 'Durga' written by Manoroma Das Medhi
