The present paper is a modest attempt to compare the trauma of displacement faced by the women protagonists of Damodar Mauzo's Karmelin and Bharati Mukharjee's Wife. Damodar Mauzo, a significant Konkani novelist unfolds the tragic life of Karmelin in his novel.
