This paper attempts to cri tique on the postmodern predicaments in subverting the classical fairytale genre and its tropes. The trope of mirror is one of the stereotyped patterns in the classical contour infested with patriarchal intrusion. This reckons the female subject with patriarchal supremacy and infuses an erroneous understanding about their identity .
